Sunday T20 Cricket Competition - 2026

Holland Park Junior Cricket Club is once again entering teams into the Brisbane Metropolitan Cricket T20 Competition for male and female players aged 10 - 16.

The competition will be played on Sundays in Term 1. This provides an extra game of cricket each week for the term, and also allows HPJCC cricketers who are playing with their school in Term 1 to remain playing with the club post-Christmas.

Games

Games will be held on Sunday afternoons from 2pm-5pm on a home and away basis.

The draw will be available on the PlayCricket app in late January.

Season dates

Sunday 1 February 2026 - Sunday 29 March 2026 (9-week season, including 1 x final for all teams)

Registration & fees
  • 9-week season - $130 (including $15 BMC registration fee)

Age groups
There are three age groups for the T20 competition, with two divisions for each age group.
  • U12s (Those born from 1 September 2013 to 31 August 2015, inclusive)
  • U14s (Those born from 1 September 2011 to 31 August 2013, inclusive)
  • U16s (Those born from 1 September 2009 to 31 August 2011, inclusive)

Please note that this year, for the first time, BMC will not allow players to play up an age group (i.e. if you are U12 you must play U12 not U14. U13's can still play U14's etc). We can apply for exemptions to play down, includings players aged over U16. If you have any questions around age eligibility, please contact us.

Team Numbers

Teams will have up to 11 players in total, with 9 players on the field at any one time.

Training

Because most players will already be playing for a Saturday competition, team training will be optional.

Uniforms

All players require a Coloured HPJCC Playing Shirt ($32), an optional HPJCC Wide-brim Hat ($22) or Cap ($22) and wear white cricket pants (available from Kmart, Best & Less, Rebel). Please note this Coloured HPJCC Playing Shirt is different to the White HPJCC Shirt worn for Saturday Cricket.

We will be opening the uniform shop in the week leading up to the start of the season (watch our Facebook page for details).

Volunteering

Our Club only operates through the generosity of volunteers. You will be asked how you can assist when you complete the online registration form - there are roles to suit everybody! Parents are also required to assist in running the games through coaching, managing, umpiring, scoring, or the all-important afernoon tea duty!
